This pattern is so easy and great for someone with basic crochet knowledge.  It is written  using single crochet in the back loops.  The pouf is made of 12 squares that are slip stitched together to make this stunner!  You can use a 16x16 foam pouf insert (sold by Annieblu) or simply stuff with some extra soft pillows you have laying around.   I used an insert for the ones shown.  You could use any bulky weight yarn but just make sure your squares are the right size. 
The pattern uses Bobilon 7-9mm T-Shirt yarn.  You can also use bobbiny 5mm but just keep an eye on your gauge.
