I love the traditional yet modern look of a Moses basket.  Making the Moses basket is simple and fun and oh so rewarding. It's so enjoyable to see the surprise on everyones face when they find out you made this.  This is an heirloom that will be handed down for generations.  
I have written this pattern with two different connecting stitches so that anyone of any skill level can make it.  You can also adjust the height by a few rows higher or lower to create a basket that fits your design.  
Included in this pattern are instructions to follow if purchasing a kit or if you would like to make one using your own base.  You can use the fundamentals of this pattern for any size base.  I go into detail on how to make an invisible join (shows a slight variation on the inside of the basket) and an advanced invisible join which is visually undetectable from both the outside and inside.  
The Bitiah basket uses 3 skeins of bobbiny 9mm cotton cord and a 70cmx40cm wood base.
